Everything you wanted to know but were afraid to ask. These are responses to frequently asked questions, a compendium of practical advice geared primarily to the new amps from the veterans. Most subjects refer to prosthetic users, but some may be applicable to non prosthetic users as well. Other adaptive devices, crutches, sitting sockets, wheelchairs and scooters are covered in the section about non prosthetic use. Feel free to e-mail the web author with any topics you'd like addressed or personal tips that have worked for you. The topics are loosely organized from the inside out.

In the author's opinion the best general source of information is the Amputee Coalition of America, a non profit organization which represents all amputees. I only wish this organization had existed many years ago. Although not specific to HP's and HD's, many topics have been covered in past issues of "In Motion", the magazine published by the ACA.
