INDIA

One of my all time favorite pictures was taken at the Taj Mahal below and with a snake handler in India, 1982

Interesting adventures abounded in India where we experienced the best of the best and the worse of the worse; extravagant luxury juxtaposed with miserable poverty.  It was not uncommon to see amputees begging in the streets outside of 5 star hotels, a poignant reminder of how lucky we are to live in America.  Physically it was demanding due to the heat and sweating within my prosthesis, the cause of frequent skin breakdowns, but the experience was worth any discomfort.  It's only temporary, our bodies will heal but the memories will last a lifetime.
